Circumference is measured when fully closed to having three clips locked in. This allows for +/- up to 1cm extra either side if needed.

Depth is measured with a tailors tape from the bottom of the front panel to the edge of the top button. We place the tape right alongside the seam where the front panel meets the side panel.

If you usually wear your snapback on 2 clips we strongly advise sizing up.

Are the hats water friendly?

The exterior panels on our hats are water friendly and moisture wicking.

Upon initial contact the water will repel off the panels but with consistent contact with water it will start to soak in, this is perfectly normal and will go back after being left to dry in a well ventilated area.

Can I wash my hat?

Yes, our hats are water friendly and love a good bath. Simply run the hat under some cold water and clean with a soft cloth or your hand. To try remove stains you can use gentle soap and rub in circular motion with a cloth. You can also use the soap to clean the sweatband after excessive sweating.

Once clean leave the hat to dry in a well ventilated area.

Please! Do not wash your hat in a washing machine, we cannot guarentee it will come out looking the same. Hand wash only.

Do the hats float?

Yes, we have designed our hats with a buoyant brim so that they float.

Can I return my order?

The big test!

So this is hat number 7 I think I've purchased from Locked Down. This was a big deal, the main reason for me shopping round in the first place. A work hat! Working in the tropics is tough going in summer, I go through hats like you wouldn't believe. They ruin fast. Im talking salts and sweat, then being soggy they lose shape, starts stinking etc...this one was the ultimate test! Been wearing it 5 days a week, 5.30 til 4pm for weeks now. Its still black! Its still perfectly in shape! No sweat marks and soggy peak. No stink. Absolutely over the moon, trust me this has been a big thing for years!

I was more than happy with the caps and bucket hats I've already bought but this has made me a customer for life! Bit of fun looking out for the limited edition too. Gutted I missed the fluro acid one!

Got a couple of the green and gold and got a red bull one, aswell as a few block colour ones. Looking forward to adding to my collection.

Feel I should actually review couple things! Post and packaging, top notch. Informed every step of the way and very well packaged, nothing is going to crush these hats. Customer service, I've only had to ask a question once so far, they replied within minutes and was very helpful.

Cant recommend these guys high enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
